Second Revision (Line Edit)

Incorporate beta reader feedback and polish the prose sentence by sentence.

Research Literary Agents

Create a list of agents who represent your genre and follow their submission guidelines.

Write a Compelling Query Letter

Draft and refine a one-page query letter that summarizes your book and author bio.

Send out Query Batches

Send queries in small batches of 5-10 agents at a time.

Sign with an Agent

Review offers, speak with potential agents, and sign a representation agreement.

Submission to Publishers

Work with your agent to prepare the manuscript for submission to editors at publishing houses.
